How long does a small business site take?
Most land between two and four weeks from the point where I have your content. A single landing page is usually under a week.
What do you need from me?
Your logo if you have one, photos of your work, and a rough sense of what you want each page to say. If writing is not your thing, I can draft it and you edit.
Can I edit it myself afterward?
Yes. Tell me up front which parts you want to change regularly and I will build those so you can manage them without touching code.
What if I already have a website?
I will look at what you have first. Sometimes a redesign is the answer and sometimes fixing what exists is cheaper and smarter. I will tell you which one I think it is.
I built my own site on a website builder. Can you just fix it?
Yes. If the site is mostly fine and a few things are wrong, like a form that does not deliver, poor search setup, or a slow page, that is hourly work at $85, quoted before I start. You do not need a new website to fix a few problems.
Is it worth hiring someone for a hobby or side project site?
Often not, and I will say so. If the site is just for sharing your work, a builder is fine. Help starts to pay off once the hobby is taking orders or people need to find you in search.
