The Freckled Flower & Co.
A sympathy florist, built for people ordering on the worst week of their year.
In development and not yet launched. Online ordering, pricing, and delivery areas are still being finished, so the site is not linked here until it opens.

What this had to solve.
Build a store for a new florist whose first focus is sympathy and funeral work. The people ordering are often grieving and short on time, so the site had to be calm, explain what to send and when, and never make ordering harder than sending a text.
What was built
- A custom block child theme over Twenty Twenty-Five with its own type, color, and layout system
- A companion plugin with a delivery ZIP check that answers from the shop's own server
- A text-to-order path on every design, with the message already filled in
- A WooCommerce catalog of 220 designs with Standard, Deluxe, and Premium sizes
- 37 categories so people can shop by piece, by color, or by tribute
- Sympathy guidance pages covering what to send, when, and how to send to a funeral home
- Delivery, FAQ, and substitution and refund pages
- Search setup with Rank Math, sitemaps, and florist structured data

The parts that do the work.
Sympathy first
The home page, navigation, and guidance pages are built around funeral and memorial orders, with everyday flowers to follow.
Shop the way people think
Browse by the piece you need, by the color the family asked for, or by a tribute to a veteran, a parent, or a pet.
Text to order
Every design has a one-tap text with the design already named, for people who would rather not fill in a checkout.
Delivery check up front
A ZIP check sits at the top of every page so nobody gets to the end of an order to find out the shop cannot reach them.

Why it matters for your project.
Different business, same underlying capability.
- WordPress and WooCommerce work beyond a stock theme
- A custom plugin and REST endpoint rather than a stack of third-party add-ons
- Writing and structure for a sensitive purchase
- A large catalog organized so it stays easy to browse
